Lexington Catholic rallied to earn a 14-13 come-from-behind victory over Central.  It was a tale of two halves as Lexington Catholic lost three fumbles and had a pass intercepted in the first half and trailed 13-0 at halftime.  The Knights rallied in the second half and took the lead on an Andy Thompson three yard run and a conversion kick by Donovan Morris with 9:57 left in the game.  Central had a late chance to pull off the victory but Sebastian Francisco’s 23 yard field goal attempt with seven seconds left on the clock was blocked by Eric Sottile.  Central missed field goal attempts of 35 and 32 yards, had the 23 yard attempt blocked and had an extra point attempt blocked.

Lexington Catholic recorded 15 first downs and 261 yards of total offense.  The Knights were penalized twice for 15 yards, lost three fumbles, and had one pass intercepted.  Central recorded 16 first downs and 336 yards of total offense.  The Yellow Jackets were penalized nine times for 58 yards.

Andy Thompson led Lexington Catholic’s ground game with 110 yards and a touchdown on 22 carries.  Jaylen Jones carried the ball 18 times for 74 yards.  Andy Thompson completed 10 of 16 passes for 90 yards and a touchdown with one interception.  JJ Ogbogu caught five passes for 37 yards.  Jaylen Jones added three receptions for 30 yards and a touchdown.  Davis Rowady led the defense with eight solo tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a three yard loss.  A. Lauterbach added six solo and three assisted tackles with one of his losses resulting in a five yard loss.  Zach Middleton chipped in with five solo tackles.  Eli Mitchell, Austin Pedroche, and Dylan Coulter each recorded four solo and one assisted tackles with two of Coulter’s tackles resulting in losses totaling nine yards.

Stephen Jones led Central’s ground game with 83 yards and a touchdown on 18 carries.  Myron Norfleet carried the ball 11 times for 23 yards and a touchdown.  Myron Norfleet completed 15 of 30 passes for 204 yards.  Zackary White caught seven passes for 66 yards.  Stephen Jones added three receptions for 85 yards.  Corey Johnson returned one kickoff for 63 yards.  Aaron Duncan led the defense with nine solo and one assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 12 yards.  Aric Hamblin and Jonathan Dooley recorded six and five solo tackles respectively.  Luke Bowman chipped in with three solo and three assisted tackles with 2.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling nine yards.  Jaquan Brown added four solo tackles and recovered a fumble he returned 43 yards.  Elijah Owens and Kenneth Reedel each recovered a fumble and Quincy Baines intercepted a pass he returned 14 yards.
