Eastern Kentucky University coach Chrissy Roberts started the following lineup: 6-1 Sr. Miranda Maples, 5-10 Sr. Shameekia Murray, 6-1 Jr. Jalen O’Bannon, 5-5 Jr. Mariah Massengill, and 5-10 Jr. Michaela Hunter. Richmond coach Cori Chambers countered with 6-1 Fr. Tuuli Menna, 5-8 Jr. Janelle Hubbard, 6-4 So. Karleigh Wike, 5-8 So. Micaela Parson, and 5-8 Sr. Lauren Tolson.
Richmond outscored Eastern Kentucky 30-10 in the second quarter on their way to an 81-62 victory. Richmond shot 53.8% from the field including eight of 14 from the three point line. They connected on 17 of 28 free throws, pulled down 39 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 17 Eastern Kentucky turnovers. Eastern Kentucky shot 36.1% from the field including six of 21 from beyond the arc. The Colonels connected on 12 of 14 free throws, pulled down 30 rebounds, and scored 18 points off 18 Richmond turnovers.
Lauren Tolson led Richmond with 21 points including five three point baskets and six rebounds. Janelle Hubbard added 17 points and four assists. Micaela Parson recorded 14 points, five assists, and two blocked shots.
Shameekia Murray led Richmond with 19 points, six rebounds, and four steals. Michaela Hunter added 17 points including three three point baskets. Jalen O’Bannon recorded 11 points and eight rebounds.
