Mercy Academy coach Keith Baisch started the following lineup: 5-9 Jr. Josie Woods, 5-9 Fr. Raquael Reese, 6-2 So. Danielle Feldkamp, 5-3 Sr. Jessica Laemmle, and 5-7 Sr. Madi Woods. Christian Academy of Louisville coach Perry White Sr. countered with 5-7 Sr. Camryn White, 5-7 8th Grade Shelby Calhoun, 5-9 Sr. Emma Bowman, 5-6 Jr. Summer Conti, and 5-6 Jr. Emma Wesley.
Mercy Academy outscored Christian Academy of Louisville 24-13 in the third quarter to erase a 35-35 halftime tie on their way to a 74-63 victory. Mercy shot 37.7% from the field including 10 of 21 from the three point line. The Jaguars connected on 18 of 23 free throws, pulled down 39 rebounds, and scored 20 points off 26 CAL turnovers. CAL shot 40.8% from the field including seven of 19 from beyond the arc. The Lady Centurions connected on 16 of 20 free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored seven points off 17 Mercy turnovers.
Josie Woods led Mercy with 23 points including five three point baskets, eight rebounds, and three steals. Madi Woods added 14 points including three three point baskets and five rebounds. 5-3 Sr. Maria Schmitz chipped in with eight points. Danielle Feldkamp recorded eight points, four rebounds, and four steals.
Emma Wesley led CAL with 24 points including two three point baskets and six rebounds. Camryn White added 15 points. Emma Bowman chipped in with nine points. Shelby Calhoun pulled down nine rebounds.
