Walton-Verona coach Grant Brannen started the following lineup: 6-2 So. Austin Lay, 6-1 Sr. Kyle Kinmon, 6-8 Sr. Elliott Brook, 5-10 Jr. Evan Anderson, and 5-11 Sr. Matt Clinkenbeard.  Scott County coach Billy Hicks countered with 6-5 Fr. Michael Moreno, 6-0 So. Cooper Robb, 6-4 Jr. Cooper Watts, 5-8 Fr. Cam Fluker, and 5-11 Fr. Bryce Long.

Scott County raced out to a 20-6 first quarter lead on their way to a 73-56 victory over Walton-Verona.  Scott County shot 36.8% from the field including nine of 24 from the three point line.  The Cardinals connected on 14 of 17 free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored 23 points off 31 Walton-Verona turnovers.  Walton-Verona shot 38.3% from the field including three of 17 from beyond the arc.  The Bearcats connected on 17 of 20 free throws, pulled down 42 rebounds, and scored 12 points off 13 Scott County turnovers.

Bryce Long led Scott County with 13 points including two three point baskets.  5-11 Fr. Glen Covington added 11 points including two three point baskets.  Cooper Watts recorded nine points, four rebounds, and three blocked shots.  Cooper Robb pulled down seven rebounds.

Elliott Brook led Walton-Verona with 13 points, six rebounds, and three blocked shots.  Kyle Kinmon added 10 points including two three point baskets.  6-2 So. Zach Clinkenbeard recorded nine points and 10 rebounds.
