Scott County coach Steve Helton started the following lineup: 6-0 Jr. Lauren Boehm, 5-10 So. Peyton Riddle, 6-0 So. Sydney Southerland, 5-4 Fr. Juliette Smith, and 5-8 Sr. Bailey Hawkins. North Laurel coach Eddie Mahan Jr. countered with 5-11 Sr. Kayla Bruner, 5-9 So. Hannah Lawson, 5-11 Sr. Makayla Sexton, 5-7 Jr. Ashton Bridges, and 5-7 So. Madison Sheppard.
Scott County pulled away in the final quarter to defeat North Laurel by a score of 85-71. The score was tied five times and there were five ties in the game. Scott County shot 40.8% from the field including seven of 21 from the three point line. The Lady Cardinals connected on 20 of 36 free throws, pulled down 57 rebounds, and scored eight points off 14 North Laurel turnovers. North Laurel shot 29.6% from the field including seven of 27 from beyond the arc. The Lady Jaguars connected on 22 of 34 free throws, pulled down 51 rebounds, and scored 10 points off 11 Scott County turnovers.
Peyton Riddle led Scott County with 19 points. 5-4 8th Grade Morgan DeFoor added 16 points including 10 of 14 free throws and pulled down seven rebounds. Bailey Hawkins also scored 16 points including four three point baskets. Lauren Boehm recorded 12 points and 18 rebounds.
Kayla Bruner led North Laurel with 26 points and 10 rebounds. Madison Sheppard added 20 points and eight rebounds. Hannah Lawson recorded eight points, seven rebounds, and three steals.
