Tates Creek coach Michael Allen started the following lineup: 6-3 Sr. Landon Porter, 6-2 Jr. Decotah Fay, 6-4 Jr. Isaiah Patterson, 6-0 Fr. Isaiah Allen, and 6-0 So. Eric Boone. Lafayette coach Mike Mendenhall III countered with 6-1 Sr. William Watkins, 6-0 Sr. Harrison Lane, 6-6 Sr. Ross Jenkins, 5-9 Sr. TJ Downey, and 5-9 Sr. Jaelin Jenkins.
Lafayette raced out to a 27-12 first quarter lead on their way to a 91-58 victory over Tates Creek. Lafayette shot 42.3% from the field including 15 of 32 from the three point line. The Generals connected on 10 of 12 free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored 53 points off 27 Tates Creek turnovers. Tates Creek shot 54.15 from the field including six of eight from beyond the arc. The Commodores connected on 12 of 16 free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored 11 points off 11 Lafayette turnovers. Lafayette attempted 41 more shots (78-37) from the field than Tates Creek.
Harrison Lane led Lafayette with 19 points including five three point baskets and four assists. Ross Jenkins added 13 points. 5-9 Jr. Chris Wharton also scored 13 points including two three point baskets.
Eric Boone led Tates Creek with 21 points including three three point baskets and seven rebounds. Isaiah Allen added 13 points.
