Mercer County coach Josh Cook started the following lineup: 6-4 Sr. Will Hager, 6-4 Sr. Malik Dow, 6-4 Jr. Dylan James, 6-3 Sr. Alijah Mink, and 6-4 So. Trevon Faulkner.  Montgomery County coach Matt Daniel countered with 6-4 Jr. Jerryd Jones, 6-3 Sr. Cody Parsley, 6-7 Sr. Shelby Combs, 5-9 Sr. Caswell Fuller, and 6-2 Sr. Art Walker.

 

Mercer County led 46-43 after three quarters and pulled away in the final quarter to defeat Montgomery County by a score of 71-56.  Mercer County shot 50% from the field including six of 15 from the three point line.  The Titans connected on 11 of 16 free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored eight points off eight Montgomery County turnovers.  Montgomery County shot 35.8% from the field including 10 of 28 from beyond the arc.  The Indians connected on eight of 11 free throws, pulled down 27 rebounds, and scored five points off seven Mercer County turnovers.

 

Trevon Faulkner led Mercer County with 28 points including three three point baskets, nine rebounds, and four assists.  Malik Dow added 16 points and 12 rebounds.  Dylan James chipped in with 14 points.  Will Hager recorded eight points and six assists.

 

6-4 Fr. Brennan Canada led Montgomery County with 15 points including four three point baskets.  Art Walker added 11 points including three three point baskets.  Cody Parsley chipped in with 10 points.  Jerryd Jones recorded nine points and five rebounds.  Caswell Fuller added eight points, five rebounds, and nine assists.
