Lexington Christian Academy coach Kent Miller started the following lineup: 5-8 Fr. Grace Combs, 5-8 So. Payton Rodgers, 5-8 Jr. Charis Hill, 5-5 Sr. Hannah Sue Hartley, and 5-7 Jr. Sydney Weeks.  Western Hills coach Raymond Ritchie Jr. countered with 5-7 Jr. Kayla Hortenbury, 5-7 So. Katherine Mangeot, 5-11 Sr. Taylor Slade, 5-3 So. Alexis True, and 5-6 Sr. Lakenzie Ritchie.

 

Western Hills raced out to an 18-3 first quarter lead on their way to a 58-26 victory over Lexington Christian Academy.  Western Hills shot 43.6% from the field including three of 16 from the three point line.  The Wolverines connected on seven of eight free throws, pulled down 44 rebounds, and scored 18 points off 16 LCA turnovers.  LCA shot 23.8% from the field including four of 20 from beyond the arc.  The Eagles connected on two of six free throws, pulled down 20 rebounds, and scored four points off 11 Western Hills turnovers.

 

Taylor Slade was named Game MVP and led Western Hills with 19 points and eight rebounds.  Kayla Hortenbury added 12 points, five rebounds, and five assists.  Lakenzie Ritchie recorded eight points and four assists.  Alexis True added two points, six rebounds, and nine assists.

 

Grace Combs led LCA with nine points including two three point baskets.  Hannah Sue Hartley added six points.
