Lafayette coach Mike Mendenhall III started the following lineup: 6-0 Jr. Cameron Greenup, 6-0 Sr. Harrison Lane, 6-6 Sr. Ross Jenkins, 5-9 Sr. TJ Downey, and 5-10 Sr. Jaelin Jenkins. Bryan Station coach Tommy Johnson countered with 6-2 Sr. Rudy Guy, 6-2 Sr. Tim Dunn, 6-3 Jr. David DeMarcus, 5-8 Sr. Rafael Few, and 6-0 Sr. Andre Davis.
Lafayette defeated Bryan Station by a score of 74-66. Lafayette shot 49.1% from the field including seven of 21 from the three point line. The Generals connected on 15 of 20 free throws, pulled down 36 rebounds, and scored 24 points off 14 Bryan Station turnovers. Bryan Station shot 44.2% from the field including 11 of 24 from beyond the arc. The Defenders connected on nine of 11 free throws, pulled down 22 rebounds, and scored 19 points off 16 Lafayette turnovers.
Ross Jenkins led Lafayette with 22 points, nine rebounds, and three blocked shots. Jenkins was 10 of 11 from the field and two of five from the free throw line. TJ Downey added 16 points including four three point baskets, five rebounds, and five assists. Harrison Lane chipped in with 10 points.
Rafael Few led Bryan Station with 19 points including four three point baskets, four rebounds, and four assists. Andre Davis added 15 points including three three point baskets, four assists, and three steals. Tim Dunn chipped in with 14 points. David DeMarcus recovered 12 points and nine rebounds. Terrance Murphy dished out seven assists.
