Lexington Christian Academy coach Nate Valentine started the following lineup: 6-5 Fr. Kyle Rode, 6-2 Sr. Trevor Hill. 6-6 Jr. Tre King, 5-10 Fr. Pearce Dalton, and 6-1 Fr. Isaiah Hunt. Lexington Catholic coach Brandon Salsman countered with 6-5 So. Zan Payne, 6-1 Sr. JJ Ogbogu, 6-6 Jr. Peter Whitman, 6-0 Sr. Donovan Morris, and 6-3 Jr. Luke Johnson.
Lexington Catholic raced out to a 20-4 first quarter lead on their way to a 66-52 victory over Lexington Christian Academy. Lexington Catholic shot 44.4% from the field including eight of 23 from the three point line. The Knights connected on 10 of 17 free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored 22 points off 13 LCA turnovers. LCA shot 37.8% from the field including four of 16 from beyond the arc. The Eagles connected on 14 of 23 free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored four points off eight Lexington Catholic turnovers.
Luke Johnson led Lexington Catholic with 35 points including five three point baskets, seven rebounds, five assists, and three steals. Donovan Morris added 15 points including three three point baskets and five assists. Zan Payne pulled down nine rebounds.
Kyle Rode led LCA with 22 points, 10 rebounds, and four assists. Trevor Hill added 12 points including three three point baskets. Tre King recorded 10 points and 12 rebounds.
