Assumption coach Amy Siegel started the following lineup: 5-6 Jr. Jenna Calhoun, 5-7 Jr. Kristen Olinick, 6-0 Jr. Piper Gray, 5-4 Sr. Sabrina Fusseneger, and 5-7 So. Taylor Allen. Christian Academy of Louisville coach Perry White Sr. countered with 5-8 Fr. Sarah McDonald, 5-7 Sr. Camryn White, 5-9 8th Grade Shelby Calhoun, 5-6 Jr. Emma Wesley, and 5-6 Jr. Summer Conti.
Christian Academy of Louisville outscored Assumption 18-7 in the second quarter on their way to a 69-62 victory. The score was tied three times and there were seven lead changes in the game. CAL shot 43.4% from the field including six of 17 from the three point line. The Lady Centurions connected on 17 of 25 free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored 27 points off 25 Assumption turnovers. Assumption shot 37.9% from the field including four of 16 from beyond the arc. The Rockets connected on eight of 10 free throws, pulled down 42 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 20 CAL turnovers.
Emma Wesley led CAL with 17 points and five rebounds. Summer Conti added 16 points and Shelby Calhoun chipped in with 15 points. Sarah McDonald added nine points and 10 rebounds. Camryn White recorded nine points, six rebounds, four assists, and six steals.
5-6 Fr. Ally Willis led Assumption with 17 points. 5-6 Fr. Jasmine Elder added 13 points. 5-6 Fr. Abby McQueary pulled down 10 rebounds.
