Tates Creek vs. Lexington Catholic (Girls)

Tates Creek coach Jan Perkins started the following lineup: 5-5 Fr. Shania Taylor, 5-5 So. Tamira Watts, 5-7 Sr. Shaytara Wilson, 5-4 Jr. Carolyn Nsimpasi, and 5-4 Jr. Nave Winn.  Lexington Catholic coach Scott True countered with 5-9 Sr. Sarah Bonn, 5-7 Sr. Caroline Osbourn, 5-9 Jr. Laken Pinkerman, 5-3 So. Ashley Frebis, and 5-7 Fr. Jay Ballard

 

Lexington Catholic defeated Tates Creek by a score of 47-34.  Lexington Catholic shot 38.9% from the field including six of 11 from the three point line.  The Lady Knights connected on 13 of 20 free throws, pulled down 30 rebounds, and scored 21 points off 18 Tates Creek turnovers.  Tates Creek shot 33.3% from the field including two of 13 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Commodores connected on eight of 12 free throws, pulled down 23 rebounds, and scored nine points off 18 Lexington Catholic turnovers.

 

Caroline Osbourn led Lexington Catholic with 19 points including two three point baskets, four rebounds, and four assists.  Jay Ballard added 12 points on four three point baskets.  5-6 So. Maya Jazdzewski chipped in with seven points.

 

Shaytara Wilson led Tates Creek with nine points and six rebounds.  5-4 Jr. LaTaya Winn added nine points.  Shania Taylor chipped in with seven points.
