Lafayette coach Allison Denton started the following lineup: 5-10 Fr. Lindi DeBilzan, 5-8 So. Caroline Bennett, 5-11 Jr. Kiara Pankins, 5-6 So. Terri Abram, and 5-8 8th Grade Shelbi Wilson.  Lexington Catholic coach Scott True countered with 5-7 Sr. Caroline Osbourn, 5-6 So. Maya Jazdzewski, 5-9 Sr. Sarah Bonn, 5-3 So. Ashley Frebis, and 5-7 Fr. Jay Ballard.

 

Lafayette held on down the stretch to defeat Lexington Catholic by a score of 40-38.  Lafayette shot 39.5% from the field including two of 11 from the three point line.  The Lady Generals connected on eight of 16 free throws, pulled down 28 rebounds, and scored 19 points off 16 Lexington Catholic turnovers.  Lexington Catholic shot 34.4% from the field including five of 14 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Knights connected on 11 of 20 free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 13 Lafayette turnovers.

 

Caroline Bennett led Lafayette with 15 points.  Kiara Pankins added eight points, six rebounds, and four steals.  5-10 Sr. Aisha Conwell recorded four points and six rebounds.

 

Jay Ballard led Lexington Catholic with 14 points including four three point baskets.  Caroline Osbourn added 11 points and five rebounds.  Sarah Bonn recorded five points and six rebounds.
