Lafayette coach Mike Mendenhall III started the following lineup:  6-0 Jr. Cameron Greenup. 6-0 Sr. Harrison Lane, 6-6 Sr. Ross Jenkins, 5-9 Sr. TJ Downey, and 5-10 Sr. Jaelin Jenkins.  Lexington Catholic coach Brandon Salsman countered with 6-5 So. Zan Payne, 6-1 Sr. JJ Ogbogu, 6-6 Jr. Peter Whitman, 6-0 Sr. Donovan Morris, and 6-3 Jr. Luke Johnson.

Lafayette rallied in the final minute to defeat Lexington Catholic by a score of 66-63.  The score was tied seven times and there were six lead changes in the game.  Lafayette shot 36.7% from the field including six of 24 from the three point line.  The Generals connected on 24 of 33 free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 16 Lexington Catholic turnovers.  Lexington Catholic shot 44.2% from the field including four of 13 from beyond the arc.  The Knights connected on 21 of 29 free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored nine points off six Lafayette turnovers.

Ross Jenkins led Lafayette with 17 points, 12 rebounds, and two blocked shots.  Harrison Lane added 14 points including three three point baskets.  TJ Downey also reached double figures with 12 points.

Zan Payne led Lexington Catholic with 16 points and 10 rebounds.  Luke Johnson added 15 points and eight assists.  JJ Ogbogu recorded 14 points and 10 rebounds.  Donovan Morris chipped in with 11 points.  Peter Whitnan pulled down seven rebounds.
