Ballard coach Chris Renner started the following lineup: 6-3 Sr. Omadarick Douglas, 6-3 Jr. Clivonte Patterson, 6-3 Sr. Jake Ramsey, 5-9 Jr. Jamil Wilson, and 5-9 Sr. Brian Alvey.  Henry Clay coach Daniel Brown countered with 6-3 Sr. Leander Ridgeway, 6-3 So. Justin Mitchell, 6-5 Sr. Jordan Houston, 5-9 Sr. JaQuise Simpson, and 6-1 Sr. Isaiah Tisdale.

Henry Clay captured a close, hard fought 61-57 victory over Ballard.  There were 11 lead changes and five ties in this game.  Henry Clay shot 45.5% from the field including three of 12 from the three point line.  The Blue Devils connected on eight of 17 free throws, pulled down 38 rebounds, and scored 11 points off 14 Ballard turnovers.  Ballard shot 41.5% from the field including two of 10 from beyond the arc.  The Bruins connected on 11 of 18 free throws, pulled down 30 rebounds, and scored seven points off 17 Henry Clay turnovers.

Justin Mitchell led Henry Clay with 14 points, five rebounds, and four steals.  Isaiah Tisdale added 13 points, eight rebounds, six assists, and two steals.  Jordan Houston recorded 10 points and eight rebounds.  Leander Ridgeway chipped in with nine points, six rebounds, and five assists.  5-9 Sr. Paul Price also scored nine points.

Jake Ramsey led Ballard with 12 points and eight rebounds.  Clivonte Patterson added 11 points and six rebounds.  Jamil Wilson recorded 10 points, four rebounds, and four assists.  Brian Alvey chipped in with 10 points including two three point baskets.  Omadarick Douglas also scored 10 points.
