Madison Central vs. Henry Clay (Boys)

Madison Central coach Allen Feldhaus Jr. started the following lineup: 6-1 Sr. Grant Brockman, 6-1 Sr. Dakota Begley, 6-6 Fr. Isaiah Cozart, 5-10 Sr. Terique Miller, and 6-2 Sr. John Williams.  Henry Clay coach Daniel Brown countered with 6-3 Sr. Leander Ridgeway, 6-1 Sr. Isaiah Tisdale, 6-5 Sr. Jordan Houston, 5-8 Sr. Braxton Upthegrove, and 5-9 Sr. JaQuise Simpson.

 

Henry Clay pulled away in the final quarter to defeat Madison Central 55-45.  There were four lead changes and five ties in this game.  Henry Clay shot 36.2% from the field including two of 16 from the three point line.  The Blue Devils connected on 11 of 19 free throws, pulled down 44 rebounds, and scored 11 points off 12 Madison Central turnovers.  Madison Central shot 34.6% from the field including two of seven from beyond the arc.  The Indians connected on seven of 16 free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored nine points off 12 Henry Clay turnovers.

 

Leander Ridgeway led Henry Clay with 17 points, 11 rebounds, and three assists.  Jordan Houston added 14 points and 11 rebounds.  Isaiah Tisdale recorded seven points, seven rebounds, and three blocked shots.  6-3 So. Justin Mitchell chipped in with seven points, five rebounds, and two blocked shots.

 

Dakota Begley led Madison Central with 10 points and eight rebounds.  Grant Brockman added 10 points including two three point baskets and three steals.  John Williams recorded nine points and seven rebounds.  Terique Miller chipped in with eight points and six rebounds.  Isaiah Cozart displayed athleticism and potential with six points, nine rebounds, and eight blocked shots.
