Anderson County coach Clay Birdwhistell started the following lineup: 5-9 Sr. Katelyn Harrod, 5-8 Jr. Alorra Sims, 6-0 Jr. Sammy Rogers, 5-6 Sr. Mia Aldridge, and 5-8 Sr. Kaci Currens. Mercy Academy coach Keith Baisch countered with 5-9 Fr. Raquael Reese, 5-9 Jr. Josie Woods, 6-0 Jr. Camryn Muss, 5-3 Sr. Jessica Laemmle, and 5-7 Sr. Madi Woods.
Mercy Academy defeated Anderson County by a score of 45-35. Mercy Academy shot 37.2% from the field including four of 19 from the three point line. The Jaguars connected on nine of 10 free throws, pulled down 41 rebounds, and scored eight points off 16 Anderson County turnovers. Anderson County shot 22% from the field including five of 24 from beyond the arc. The Lady Bearcats connected on eight of 14 free throws, pulled down 26 rebounds, and scored five points off 21 Mercy Academy turnovers.
Madi Woods led mercy Academy with 17 points including three three point baskets. Jessica Laemmle added seven points and six rebounds. Raquael Reese recorded four points and nine rebounds. 6-2 So. Danielle Feldkamp chipped in with four points and seven rebounds.
Kaci Currens led Anderson County with 15 points including three three point baskets. 5-7 8th Grade Anna Foley and Alorra Sims added seven points and four rebounds each. Sammy Rogers recorded six points, seven rebounds, and three steals.
