Eastern Kentucky University coach Chrissy Roberts started the following lineup: 6-1 Sr. Miranda Maples. 5-10 Sr. Shameekia Murray, 6-1 Jr. Jalen O’Bannon, 5-8 Jr. Alexus Cooper, and 5-10 Sr. Michaela Hunter.  Morehead State University coach Greg Todd countered with 5-10 So. Eriel McKee, 5-8 Fr. Miranda Crockett, 6-2 Jr. Shay Steele, 5-3 Jr. Brianna McQueen, and 5-7 Sr. Natalie Greenwell.

Eastern Kentucky defeated Morehead State by a score of 89-77.  The score was tied seven times and there were six lead changes.  Eastern Kentucky shot 43.4% from the field including 10 of 23 from the three point line.  The Colonels connected on 13 of 16 free throws, pulled down 51 rebounds, and scored 15 points off 16 Morehead State turnovers.  Morehead State shot 37.1% from the field including five of 17 from beyond the arc.  The Eagles connected on 20 of 30 free throws, pulled down 43 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 15 Eastern Kentucky turnovers.

Michaela Hunter led Morehead State with 28 points including four three point baskets, eight rebounds, six assists, and three steals.  Shameekia Murray added 21 points including nine of 10 free throws, seven rebounds, and three assists.  Alexus Cooper recorded 16 points including four three point baskets.  Jalen O’Bannon chipped in with nine points, 10 rebounds, and three assists.

Brianna McQueen led Morehead State with 17 points, five rebounds, and three assists.  Shay Steele added 16 points, six rebounds, and three steals.  Eriel McKee recorded 13 points including three three point baskets and six rebounds.  Miranda Crockett chipped in with 12 points, five rebounds, three assists, and three steals.  5-8 Jr. Aaliyah Wells added nine points, four rebounds, and three steals.
