Eastern Kentucky coach Dan McHale started the following lineup: 6-7 Sr. Jarelle Reischel, 6-7 Sr. Ja’Mill Powell, 6-9 Fr. Nick Mayo, 6-2 Jr. Isaac McGlone, and 6-5 Jr. Javontae Hawkins.  Morehead State coach Sean Woods countered with 6-6 Jr. DeJuan Marrero, 6-3 Jr. Corban Collins, 6-8 Sr. Anthony Elechi, 6-3 Sr. Brent Arrington, and 6-2 Jr. Xavier Moon.

Morehead State scored 19 points off 25 Eastern Kentucky turnovers, held a 21-3 advantage in second chance points, and attempted 23 more shots (60-37) from the field than Eastern Kentucky in a 61-50 victory.  Morehead State shot 38.3% from the field including two of 13 from the three point line.  They connected on 13 of 16 free throws and pulled down 34 rebounds.  Eastern Kentucky shot 51.4% from the field including six of 13 from beyond the arc.  The Colonels connected on six of 11 free throws, pulled down 27 rebounds, and scored six points off 11 Morehead State turnovers.

Anthony Elechi led Morehead State with 16 points, eight rebounds, and two steals.  DeJuan Marrero added 13 points and six rebounds.  5-11 Fr. Malik Maitland recorded 11 points including seven of eight free throws.  Brent Arrington chipped in with seven points, four rebounds, four assists, two blocked shots, and three steals.

Nick Mayo led Eastern Kentucky with 15 points, four rebounds, and three blocked shots.  6-4 Jr. Jaylen Babb-Harrison added 11 points and four rebounds.  Javontae Hawkins recorded 10 points.  Jarelle Reischel chipped in with nine points.
