The score was tied 22-22 at halftime but Pulaski County star receiver Jake Johnson suffered a knee injury and Bowling Green exploded in the second half for 48 unanswered points to earn a 70-22 victory.  This was anew record for points scored in a championship game.  Coach Kevin Wallace’s Purples finishes the season at 15-0 while Coach John Hines Pulaski County squad finishes the season at 12-3.  Bowling Green recorded 17 first downs and 410 yards of total offense.  The Purples were penalized six times for 50 yards.  Bowling Green scored five touchdowns on the ground, two through the air, one punt return, an interception return, and a fumble recovery return.  Pulaski County recorded 20 first downs and 323 yards of total offense.  The Maroons were penalized five times for 42 yards, lost two fumbles, and had two passes intercepted.

Jamale Carothers led Bowling Green’s ground game with 128 yards and four touchdowns on 18 carries.  Clark Payne completed 15 of 22 passes for 278 yards and two touchdowns.  Jamale Carothers caught five passes for 111 yards and a touchdown.  Deangelo Wilson added five receptions for 54 yards and a touchdown.  Luke Brown caught four passes for 93 yards.  Vito Tisdale returned a punt for 58 yards and a touchdown.  Rashad Darden led the defense with eight solo and four assisted tackles and intercepted two passes with return yardage of 104 yards including one return of 71 yards for a touchdown.  Jhamir White added eight solo and one assisted tackles.  Dalan Cofer recorded seven solo and two assisted tackles.  Jason Beason added seven solo and one assisted tackles.  Tyler Stahl scored on a 16 yard fumble recovery return.

Jacob New led Pulaski County’s ground game with 65 yards on 14 carries.  Wiley Cain carried the ball six times for 30 yards.  Rickey Maxey recorded 24 yards and a touchdown on seven carries.  Wiley Cain completed 24 of 42 passes for 187 yards and two touchdowns with two interceptions.  Jake Johnson caught 10 passes for 88 yards and a touchdown.  Jacob New added four receptions for 35 yards and a touchdown.  Jacob New led the defense with five solo and four assisted tackles.  Konner Hargis and Rickey Maxey each recorded three solo and two assisted tackles.
