Clay County vs. Bell County (Girls)

Clay County defeated Bell County by a score of 61-36. Clay County shot 41.5% from the field including eight of 24 from the three point line. The Lady Tigers connected on seven of nine free throws, and pulled down 36 rebounds. Bell County shot 29.5% from the field including four of 17 from beyond the arc. The Lady Cats connected on six of 11 free throws and pulled down 30 rebounds.
5-9 Fr. Kaylee Mathis led Clay County with 20 points, five rebounds, and four assists. 5-9 So. Summer Parker recorded a double-double with 15 points and 14 rebounds. 5-4 8th Grader Taylor Asher recorded 14 points including three three point baskets. 5-6 So. Shelby Phillips chipped in with nine points on three three point baskets.
5-6 Sr. Haleigh Collett led Bell County with 12 points on four three point baskets. 5-7 Sr. Bethany Miracle added six points and 12 rebounds. 5-10 Fr. Ashley Middleton also scored six points.
