Tates Creek coach Michael Allen started the following lineup: 6-1 Sr. Anthony Hardin, 5-8 Jr. Laron Warner, 6-6 Jr. Grayson Hill, 5-10 Fr. Amari Taylor, and 6-0 So. Isaiah Allen.  Henry Clay coach Daniel Brown countered with 6-3 Jr. Justin Mitchell, 5-10 So. Harris Hawkins, 6-3 Jr. Andreus Green, 5-9 So. Keaston Brown, and 5-10 Sr. Brian Tribble.

Henry Clay raced out to a 20-7 first quarter lead on their way to a 67-58 victory over Tates Creek.  Henry Clay shot 39.7% from the field including five of 18 from the three point line.  The Blue Devils connected on 12 of 23 free throws, pulled down 40 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 19 Tates Creek turnovers.  Tates Creek shot 33.3% from the field including five of 15 from beyond the arc.  The Commodores connected on 25 of 35 free throws, pulled down 39 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 14 Henry Clay turnovers.

Justin Mitchell led a balanced Henry Clay scoring attack with 16 points, six rebounds, and six assists.  Andreus Green added 15 points, six rebounds, and three steals.  Keaston Brown recorded 12 points including two three point baskets.  Harris Hawkins chipped in with 10 points and seven rebounds. 

Amari Taylor led Tates Creek with 22 points including three three point baskets, seven rebounds, and three assists.  Isaiah Allen added 12 points and six rebounds.  Grayson Hill chipped in with nine points.  Laron Warner recorded six points and six steals.  Anthony Hardin pulled down nine rebounds.
