Lafayette vs. Ballard (Girls)

Lafayette coach Allison Denton started the following lineup: 5-9 So. Lindi DeBilzan, 5-9 Jr. Caroline Bennett, 5-10 Sr. Kiara Pankins, 5-3 Jr. Terry Abram, and 5-8 Jr. Shelbi Wilson.  Ballard coach Carl White Sr. countered with 5-6 Jr. Sadye Valentine, 5-5 Jr. Shania Beason, 5-9 Jr. Kayla Brewer, 5-2 So. Cameryn Austin, and 5-5 Jr. Jada Williams.

 

Lafayette defeated Ballard by a score of 63-51.  Lafayette shot 46.5% from the field including four of 14 from the three point line.  The Generals connected on 19 of 32 free throws, pulled down 39 rebounds, and scored 18 points off 24 Ballard turnovers.  Ballard shot 36.2% from the field including three of 12 from beyond the arc.  The Bruins connected on 14 of 21 free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored eight points off 21 Lafayette turnovers.

 

Kiara Pankins led Lafayette with 17 points including two three point baskets and four steals.  Shelbi Wilson added 14 points.  Lindi DeBilzan recorded 12 points including two three point baskets, four rebounds, four assists, and five steals.  Terry Abram also scored 12 points.  Caroline Bennett chipped in with six points, five rebounds, and three steals.

 

5-7 Fr. Kiarah Carney led Ballard with 17 points including three three point baskets and four steals.  Shania Beason added 12 points.  Cameryn Austin recorded nine points, five rebounds, four assists, and two steals.
