Lexington Catholic coach Brandon Salsman started the following lineup: 6-5 Jr. Zan Payne, 6-3 Jr. TC Price, 6-7 Sr. Peter Whitman, 5-9 So. Javen Hardin, and 6-3 Sr. Luke Johnson.  Paul Laurence Dunbar coach Scott Chalk countered with 6-3 So. Michael Corio, 6-2 Sr. Javea Richardson, 6-2 So. Jared Gadd, 5-10 Jr. JaQuice Gray, and 6-2 Sr. Taveion Hollingsworth.

Dunbar led Lexington Catholic 49-45 after three quarters but pulled away in the final quarter to earn a 79-62 victory.  Dunbar shot 50% from the field including seven of 18 from the three point line.  The Bulldogs connected on 18 of 27 free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored 31 points off 18 Lexington Catholic turnovers.  Lexington Catholic shot 43.5% from the field including five of 16 from beyond the arc.  The Knights connected on 17 of 33 free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored nine points off 11 Dunbar turnovers.

Taveion Hollingsworth led Dunbar with 30 points, four rebounds, four assists, and three steals.  Javea Richardson added 21 points and seven steals.  JaQuice Gray recorded 11 points, seven rebounds, three assists, and three steals.  Jared Gadd chipped in with 10 points and six rebounds.

Luke Johnson led Lexington Catholic with 17 points and three steals.  Zan Payne added 11 points and 13 rebounds.  Peter Whitman recorded 11 points and seven rebounds.  5-11 Sr. Blake Scott added nine points and five rebounds.
