Lexington Catholic coach Brandon Salsman started the following lineup: 6-5 Jr. Zan Payne, 6-3 Jr. TC Price, 6-7 Sr. Peter Whitman, 6-2 Sr. Blake Scott, and 6-3 Sr. Luke Johnson.  Lexington Christian Academy coach Nate Valentine countered with 6-6 Jr. Carter Hendricksen, 6-6 So Kyle Rode, 6-6 Jr. Austin Hall, 6-0 Jr. Chandler Stewart, and 6-2 Sr. Nathan Harper.

 

Lexington Catholic defeated Lexington Christian Academy 50-46 to capture a victory in an intense rivalry between two of the top teams in the 11th Region.  There were eight lead changes and 10 ties in this contest.  Lexington Catholic shot 36.5% from the field including three of 14 from the three point line.  The Knights connected on nine of 15 free throws, pulled down 42 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 12 LCA turnovers.  LCA shot 34%from the field including four of 23 from beyond the arc.  The Eagles connected on six of six free throws, pulled down 30 rebounds, and scored 10 points off 13 Lexington Catholic turnovers.

 

Luke Johnson led Lexington Catholic with 29 points including two three point baskets and four rebounds.  Zan Payne added 17 points, 14 rebounds, and three steals.  Peter Whitman recorded four points and nine rebounds.

 

Austin Hall led Lexington Christian Academy with 11 points, six rebounds, and two blocked shots.  Chandler Stewart also scored 11 points and four assists.  Carter Hendricksen recorded nine points, 10 rebounds, and three blocked shots.  Nathan Harper chipped in with eight points, four rebounds, and three assists.  Kyle Rode added seven points, six rebounds, and three assists.
