Paul Laurence Dunbar coach Scott Chalk started the following lineup: 6-3 Sr. Javea Richardson, 6-2 So. Jared Gadd, 6-4 So. Star Ifeacho, 5-8 Jr. JaQuice Gray, and 6-3 Sr. Taveion Hollingsworth.  Madison Central coach Allen Feldhaus Jr. countered with 6-2 Jr. Dustin Geralds, 6-1 Sr. Michael Roberts, 6-7 So. Isaiah Cozart, 5-10 Jr. Isaiah Minter, and 5-10 Jr. Jacori Miller.

Paul Laurence Dunbar defeated Madison Central by a score of 58-53.  Dunbar shot 40.4% from the field including zero of eight from the three point line.  The Bulldogs connected on 12 of 17 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored 24 points off 19 Madison Central turnovers.  Madison Central shot 46.5% from the field including seven of 16 from beyond the arc.  The Indians connected on six of nine free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 11 Paul Laurence Dunbar turnovers.

Taveion Hollingsworth led Dunbar with 18 points.  Star Ifeacho added 15 points and nine rebounds.  JaQuice Gray recorded 12 points.

Dustin Geralds led Madison Central with 14 points, four rebounds, and three assists.  Isaiah Minter added 12 points including two three point baskets.  Michael Roberts chipped in with nine points on three three point baskets and four rebounds.  Isaiah Cozart recorded six points, eight rebounds, and eight blocked shots.
