Lexington Christian Academy coach Kent Miller started the following lineup: 5-8 Jr. Payton Rogers, 5-8 So. Grace Combs, 5-8 Sr. Charis Hill, 5-5 So. Bethany Selby, and 5-7 Sr. Sydney Weeks.  Bourbon County coach Bill Watson countered with 6-1 Sr. Chariss Wilson, 5-7 So. Laurin Bentley, 6-2 Sr. Rose Mason, 5-6 Jr. Ariana Penney, and 5-7 So. Kennedy Kelly.

 

Bourbon County’s strength inside proved to be too much for LCA to overcome tonight as the Lady Colonels earned a 63-46 victory and held a 61-28 edge in rebounds.  Bourbon County shot 33.3% from the field including three of 11 from the three point line.  The Lady Colonels connected on 20 of 28 free throws, pulled down 61 rebounds, and scored seven points off eight LCA turnovers.  LCA shot 26.3% from the field including 10 of 33 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Eagles pulled down 28 rebounds, and scored 18 points off 13 Bourbon County turnovers.

 

Chariss Wilson led Bourbon County with 21 points and 21 rebounds.  Kennedy Kelly added 18 points including two three point baskets and 10 of 10 free throws.  Rose Mason recorded eight points, eight rebounds, and two blocked shots.  Laurin Bentley pulled down eight rebounds.

 

Bethany Selby led LCA with 15 points including three three point baskets and blocked two shots.  Charis Hill added 12 points including three three point baskets and 11 rebounds.  Grace Combs recorded 12 points including three three point baskets, five rebounds, and four assists.
