Russell County coach Craig Pippen countered with 5-10 So. Madelyn Preston, 5-9 Sr. Kailey Coffey, 6-3 Jr. LaShaya Carman, 5-6 Jr. Amelia Ackerman, and 5-8 So. Addison Loy.
Mercy Academy defeated Russell County by a score of 67-47. Mercy Academy shot 43.4% from the field including 13 of 24 from the three point line. The Jaguars connected on eight of 14 free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored 10 points off 16 Russell County turnovers. Russell County shot 34.1% from the field including one of 13 from beyond the arc. They connected on 18 of 30 free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds. Russell County scored six points off 11 Mercy Academy turnovers.
Regan Berger led Mercy Academy with 29 points including eight three point baskets. Josie Woods added 21 points including three three point baskets, six rebounds, three assists, and two steals. 5-9 Sr. Sadie Zeisloft chipped in with eight points and four rebounds. Raquael Reese pulled down nine rebounds.
Amelia Ackerman led Russell County with 13 points including seven of nine free throws. Kailey Coffey added 12 points, nine rebounds, and two steals.
