East Jessamine coach Todd Claunch started the following lineup:5-10 Jr. Jalynn Landversicht, 5-10 Jr. Briana Beavers, 5-7 Fr. Autumn Harrison, 5-3 So. Jasmine Atkerson, and 5-6 Jr. Jessica Hall. Wayne County coach Tim Pyles countered with 5-9 Sr. Ashton Bell, 5-8 Jr. Hannah Jackson, 5-10 Sr. Megan Burchett, 5-7 8th Grade Macey Blevins, and 5-7 Sr. Taylor Bell.
Wayne County defeated East Jessamine by a score of 68-22. Wayne County shot 55% from the field including five of eight from the three point line. The Cardinals connected on 19 of 22 free throws, pulled down 22 rebounds, and scored 19 points off 11 East Jessamine turnovers. East Jessamine shot 25% from the field including one of 13 from beyond the arc. The Jaguars connected on five of eight free throws, pulled down 17 rebounds, and scored four points off nine Wayne County turnovers.
Macey Blevins led Wayne County with 19 points including six of six free throws and four rebounds. Megan Burchett added 16 points including two three point baskets. Ashton Bell recorded 13 points, six rebounds, and six steals. Taylor Bell chipped in with eight points and three assists.
Jasmine Atkerson led East Jessamine with six points. Jalynn Landversicht added five points and 6-1 Fr. Hayden Stinnett chipped in with four points.
