Lexington Catholic coach Scott True started the following lineup: 5-7 So. Jay Ballard, 5-7 So. Maylo Given, 5-9 Jr. Maya Jazdzewski, 5-2 Jr. Olivia Haines, and 5-5 Jr. Ashley Frebis.  Estill County coach Brian Hall countered with 5-11 Sr. McKenzie Flynn, 5-4 Jr. Megan Bellamy, 5-10 Sr. Sidney Danyeur, 5-2 Sr. Kaley Treadway, and 5-4 Jr. Savannah Brewer.

 

Lexington Catholic defeated Estill County by a score of 64-41.  Lexington Catholic shot 41.1% from the field including nine of 25 from the three point line.  The Lady Knights connected on nine of 17 free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored 21 points off 20 Estill County turnovers.  Estill County shot 37% from the field including three of 17 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Engineers connected on four of eight free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored six points off 10 Lexington Catholic turnovers.

 

Jay Ballard led Lexington Catholic with 22 points including three three point baskets, five rebounds, and seven assists.  Maya Jazdzewski added 11 points, eight rebounds, and two steals.  5-6 8th Grade Farrah Weldon chipped in with 10 points including two three point baskets.  Maylo Given also scored 10 points.

 

Sidney Danyeur led Estill County with 16 points, 10 rebounds, and three blocked shots.  Megan Bellamy added eight points.  McKenzie Flynn recorded four points, nine rebounds, and three blocked shots.
