Knox central coach Amanda Vermillion started the following lineup: 5-11 Jr. Mary Stewart, 5-8 So. Emily Davis, 6-1 8th Grade Raigan King, 5-7 Jr. Madison Taylor, and 5-5 So. Toni McCombs. Wayne County coach Tim Pyles countered with 5-8 Sr. Ashton Bell, 5-8 Jr. Hannah Jackson, 5-10 Sr. Megan Burchett, 5-7 8th Grade Macey Blevins, and 5-7 Sr. Taylor Bell.
Wayne County defeated Knox Central by a score of 78-62. Wayne County shot 56% from the field including three of 12 from the three point line. The Cardinals connected on 23 of 35 free throws, pulled down 22 rebounds, and scored nine points off seven Knox Central turnovers. Knox Central shot 45% from the field including seven of 18 from beyond the arc. They connected on nine of 20 free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored six points off seven Wayne County turnovers.
Ashton Bell led Wayne County with 23 points including 13 of 18 free throws. Taylor Bell added 18 points including six of nine free throws and five assists. Macey Blevins recorded 12 points. Megan Burchett chipped in with nine points, five rebounds, and four assists. 5-5 Jr. Casi Bell also scored nine points.
Toni McCombs led Knox Central with 15 points. 5-2 Sr. Sydney Hammantree added 12 points on four three point baskets. Emily Davis chipped in with eight points and seven rebounds. Raigan King recorded eight points and four rebounds. 5-6 8th Grade Presley Partin also scored eight points including two three point baskets. Mary Stewart added seven points and nine rebounds.
