Muhlenberg County vs. Scott County (Girls)

Muhlenberg County coach Mike Harper started the following lineup: 5-9 So. Alania Drake, 5-8 Sr. Baylee Russell, 5-10 Jr. Erica Cary, 5-4 Sr. Ava Weikel, and 5-8 Jr. Raegan Blackburn.  Scott County coach Steve Helton countered with 5-10 Jr. Peyton Riddle, 5-10 So. Maaliya Owens, 5-11 Sr. Lauren Boehm, 5-5 Fr. Morgan DeFoor, and 5-8 Sr. Kadee Hudson.

 

Scott County defeated Muhlenberg County by a score of 89-73.  Scott County shot 56.1% from the field including seven of 16 from the three point line.  The Lady Cardinals connected on eight of 11 free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored 27 points off Muhlenberg County turnovers.  Muhlenberg County shot 46.8% from the field including 11 of 21 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Mustangs connected on 18 of 26 free throws, pulled down 24 rebounds, and scored 12 points off 12 Scott County turnovers.

 

Peyton Riddle led Scott County with 22 points including three three point baskets, six rebounds, seven assists, and three steals.  Morgan DeFoor added 19 points including three three point baskets and eight assists.  Maaliya Owens recorded 14 points, four rebounds, and six assists.  Lauren Boehm chipped in with 10 points, nine rebounds, and four steals.

 

Erica Cary led Muhlenberg County with 22 points including four three point baskets, four rebounds, and four assists.  Raegan Blackburn added 15 points including four three point baskets.  Alania Drake recorded 13 points.
