Madison Southern coach Summer Simmons started the following lineup: 5-10 Sr. Conner Coyle, 5-8 Sr. Keri Thorn, 5-11 Sr. Marley Lawson, 5-3 8th Grade Samantha Cornelison, and 5-6 Jr. Ashlyn Clark. Lexington Catholic coach Scott True countered with 5-7 So. Jay Ballard, 5-5 So. Catey Nash, 5-7 So. Maylo Given, 5-2 Jr. Olivia Haines, and 5-5 Jr. Ashley Frebis.
Lexington Catholic defeated Madison Southern by a score of 57-35. Lexington Catholic shot 43.8% from the field including eight of 14 from the three point line. The Lady Knights connected on seven of nine free throws, pulled own 29 rebounds, and scored 19 points off 17 Madison Southern turnovers. Madison Southern shot 30% from the field including two of 17 from beyond the arc. The Lady Eagles connected on three of six free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored eight points off 10 Lexington Catholic turnovers.
Jay Ballard led Lexington Catholic with 24 points including three three point baskets. 5-6 8th Grade Farrah Weldon added nine points and three steals. Catey Nash chipped in with eight points. 5-9 So. Katie Witt recorded seven points and five rebounds.
Conner Coyle led Madison Southern with 10 points, 11 rebounds, and two blocked shots. Marley Lawson added nine points, eight rebounds, and three assists. 6-1 Sr. Savannah Fallis chipped in with six points.
