Sacred Heart Academy vs. Central (Girls)

Sacred Heart Academy coach Donna Moir started the following lineup: 5-11 Jr. Grace Berger, 5-7 Jr. Kia Sivils, 5-9 Jr. Natalie Fichter, 5-6 So. Ashlee Harris, and 5-7 Jr. Kiki Samsel.  Central coach Jana Costner countered with 5-7 Jr. India New, 5-7 Sr. Precious Hereford, 5-9 Sr. Stephonie Cole, 5-2 Sr. Thelisia Beasley Guin, and 5-5 So. Shamaria Stikes.

 

Sacred Heart Academy defeated Central by a score of 67-48.  Sacred Heart Academy shot 42.6% from the field including seven of 19 from the three point line.  The Valkyries connected on eight of 13 free throws, pulled down 42 rebounds, and scored 27 points off 20 Central turnovers.  Central shot 37% from the field including zero of seven from beyond the arc.  The Lady Jackets connected on 14 of 23 free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored 10 points off 18 Sacred Heart turnovers.

 

Grace Berger led Sacred Heart Academy with 12 points, 10 rebounds, and four assists.  5-9 Jr. Cierra Scott added 11 points and five rebounds.  Ashlee Harris and Kiki Samsel each scored eight points.

 

Stephonie Cole led Central with 12 points, five rebounds, and three steals.  Precious Hereford added eight points, six rebounds, and three steals.  5-8 So. Darian Neal recorded nine points and two steals.
