Monroe County coach Dwayne Murray started the following lineup: 5-8 Sr. Kelsey Johnson, 5-8 Sr. Reagan Turner, 5-8 Sr. Claire Bybee, 5-7 Jr. Ashley Geralds, and 5-8 Sr. Lauren Hammer. Allen County-Scottsville coach Brad Bonds started the following lineup: 5-11 So. Mason Towery, 5-6 Jr. Kali Mutter, 5-11 So. Sarah Sutton, 5-2 Sr. RaeAnn Stafford, and 5-2 Jr. Sydney Day.
Monroe County trailed 39-34 after three quarters but rallied to defeat Allen County-Scottsville by a score of 53-49. Monroe County shot 37.2% from the field including zero of four from the three point line. They connected on 21 of 27 free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 18 Allen County-Scottsville turnovers. Allen County-Scottsville shot 35.2% from the field including five of 13 from beyond the arc. The Patriots connected on six of nine free throws, pulled down 40 rebounds, and scored six points off 13 Monroe County turnovers.
Kelsey Johnson led Monroe County with 21 points including 11 of 16 free throws and eight rebounds. Reagan Turner added 14 points and four steals. Ashley Geralds recorded nine points, three rebounds, three assists, and three steals.
Sarah Sutton led Allen County-Scottsville with 26 points, 14 rebounds, three assists, and four steals. 5-7 8th Grade Allison Meador added seven points. Mason Towery recorded six points, 11 rebounds, and three assists. Sydney Day pulled down seven rebounds.
