Lexington Christian Academy coach Nate Valentine started the following lineup: 6-6 Jr. Carter Hendricksen, 6-6 So. Kyle Rode, 6-6 Jr. Austin Hall, 6-0 Jr. Chandler Stewart, and 6-2 Sr. Nathan Harper. Lafayette coach Mike Mendenhall III countered with 5-10 Sr. Jajuante Carpenter, 5-10 Jr. Eric Powell, 6-1 Sr. Cameron Greenup, 5-9 Sr. Chris Wharton, and 5-10 So. Evan Dreux.
Lexington Christian Academy pulled away in the second half to defeat Lafayette by a score of 75-50. LCA shot 58.1% from the field including six of 14 from the three point line. The Eagles connected on 19 of 23 free throws, pulled down 36 rebounds, and scored 19 points off 12 Lafayette turnovers. Lafayette shot 28% from the field including seven of 22 from beyond the arc. The Generals connected on 15 of 25 free throws, pulled down 23 rebounds, and scored nine points off 17 LCA turnovers.
Kyle Rode led LCA with 22 points including 10 of 13 free throws and four assists. Carter Hendricksen added 19 points including three three point baskets and 12 rebounds. Austin Hall recorded 18 points, seven rebounds, and five blocked shots. Nathan Harper chipped in with nine points on three three point baskets.
Jajuante Carpenter led Lafayette with 12 points and three rebounds. Eric Powell also scored 12 points including three three point baskets. Cameron Greenup recorded eight points and 6-1 Jr. Devontae Hayes added seven points and seven rebounds. Chris Wharton also scored eight points and dished out four assists.
