McCreary Central coach Todd Waters started the following lineup: 5-7 8th Grade Liz Anderson, 5-7 So. Macey Welcher, 5-9 Sr. Brooke Sluder, 5-2 Jr. Lauren Phillips, and 5-6 Fr. Allyson Anderson. Wayne County coach Tim Pyles countered with 5-9 Sr. Ashton Bell. 5-7 Sr. Taylor Bell, 5-10 Sr. Megan Burchett, 5-7 8th Grade Macey Blevins, and 5-8 Jr. Hannah Jackson.
Wayne County defeated McCreary Central by a score of 72-36. Wayne County shot 56% from the field including eight of 14 from the three point line. The Lady Cardinals connected on eight of nine free throws, pulled down 28 rebounds, and scored 10 points off 13 McCreary Central turnovers. McCreary Central shot 31% from the field including five of 13 from beyond the arc. The Lady Raiders connected on seven of 10 free throws, pulled down 18 rebounds, and scored two points off seven Wayne County turnovers.
Ashton Bell led Wayne County with 16 points and four assists. Taylor Bell added 13 points and four assists. Macey Blevins recorded 12 points including two three point baskets, five rebounds, and four assists. Hannah Jackson and Megan Burchett chipped in with nine and seven points respectively.
Brooke Sluder led McCreary Central with 10 points and four rebounds. 5-3 Fr. Hannah Neal added nine points on three three point baskets. Allyson Anderson chipped in with six points.
