Wayne County coach Tim Pyles started the following lineup: 5-9 Sr. Ashton Bell, 5-7 Sr. Taylor Bell, 5-10 Sr. Megan Burchett, 5-7 8th Grade Macey Blevins, and 5-8 Jr. Hannah Jackson. Clinton County coach Darrell Thompson countered with 5-8 So. Alexis Roberts, 5-7 Sr. Sam Flowers, 5-10 So. Rylee Stockton, 5-7 Sr. Bree Boils, and 5-7 Sr. McKenzie Polston.
Wayne County pulled away in the second half to defeat Clinton County by a score of 66-38. Wayne County shot 52% from the field including six of 15 from the three point line. The Lady Cardinals connected on 12 of 17 free throws, pulled down 25 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 15 Clinton County turnovers. Clinton County shot 38% from the field including seven of 17 from beyond the arc. The Lady Bulldogs connected on seven of 11 free throws, pulled down 15 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 13 Wayne County turnovers.
Taylor Bell led Wayne County with 18 points including two three point baskets and four steals. Megan Burchett also scored 18 points including two three point baskets. Ashton Bell recorded 12 points, eight rebounds, and five steals. Hannah Jackson chipped in with eight points. Macey Blevins recorded seven points and five assists.
Bree Boils led Clinton County with 10 points including three three point baskets. McKenzie Polston added five points.
