Lafayette coach Allison Denton started the following lineup: 5-10 So. Macey Goff, 5-9 So. Lindi DeBilzan, 5-9 Jr. Tekiya Garr-Carter, 5-6 Jr. Terri Abram, and 5-9 Jr. Caroline Bennett.  Bryan Station coach Shawn Ransom countered with 5-6 Sr. Carah Burdette, 5-6 So. Keylynn Clay, 5-7 Sr. Emoni Washington, 5-4 Jr. Kyrah Hardin, and 5-5 Sr. Jlyn Martin.

 

Lindi DeBilzan hit a field goal with two seconds remaining on the clock to give Lafayette a 70-68 victory over Bryan Station.  The score was tied nine times and there were lead changes in the game.  Bryan Station jumped out to a 9-0 lead but Lafayette rallied for the victory.  Lafayette shot 44.1% from the field including eight of 20 from the three point line.  The Lady Generals connected on 10 of 18 free throws, pulled down 43 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 14 Bryan Station turnovers.  Bryan Station shot 35.5% from the field including 10 of 25 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Defenders connected on 14 of 22 free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored 24 points off 24 Lafayette turnovers.

 

Caroline Bennett led Lafayette with 21 points including five three point baskets, nine rebounds, and two blocked shots.  Terri Abram added 15 points, seven rebounds, and six assists.  Lindi DeBilzan recorded 13 points including two three point baskets, three rebounds, and nine assists.  Tekiya Garr-Carter chipped in with 12 points, three rebounds, and three steals.  5-8 8th Grade Elise Pankins added four points and eight rebounds.

 

Jlyn Martin led Bryan Station with 27 points including seven three point baskets, five rebounds, and four steals.  Kyrah Hardin added 12 points including two three point baskets, four rebounds, and four steals.  Emoni Washington recorded 11 points, eight rebounds, and five steals.  Carah Burdette chipped in with nine points and three assists.  Keylynn Clay added six points and 10 rebounds.
