Garrard County coach Scott Latham started the following lineup: 5-11 Sr. Neek Hocker, 5-9 Sr. Lauren Patrick, 5-10 Sr. Sis Logan, 5-5 Sr. Maddy Day, and 5-8 Sr. Sam Adams. Madison Central coach Robert Cooksey countered with 5-10 Sr. Lindsey Johns, 5-10 Sr. Charity Mack, 6-0 Sr. Mallie Cornett, 5-4 Jr. Bailee Vanover, and 5-7 Sr. Kasi Schneid.
Tonight was senior night and Madison Central said good bye to four seniors, all starters in Charity Mack, Mallie Cornett, Lindsey Johns, and Kasi Schneid. The ladies took care of business once the game started and defeated Garrard County by a score of 63-40 to improve their record to 20-7 for the season.
Madison Central shot 47.6% from the field including eight of 20 from the three point line. The Indians connected on 15 of 23 free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored 19 points off 17 Garrard County turnovers. Garrard County shot 35.4% from the field including four of 17 from beyond the arc. The Lions connected on two of nine free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored nine points off 15 Madison Central turnovers.
Lindsey Johns led Madison Central with 27 points including six three point baskets, three assists, and four steals. Bailee Vanover added 15 points including two three point baskets, seven rebounds, and three assists. Mallie Cornett recorded eight points, seven rebounds, five blocked shots, and two steals. Charity Mack chipped in with five points, five rebounds, and two assists. Kasi Schneid added five assists and two steals.
Sam Adams led Garrard County with 10 points including three three point baskets, five rebounds, and three steals. Lauren Patrick added 10 points and four rebounds. Maddy Day recorded seven points, four rebounds, and four assists. 5-7 Jr. Katy Pozzuto also scored seven points. Neek Hocker pulled down seven rebounds.
