West Jessamine coach Jason Seamands started the following lineup: 5-9 So. Faith Osborne, 5-4 Sr. Bethany Hamilton, 5-9 Jr. McKenzie Ivey, 5-4 Jr. Rebecca Bullock, and 5-4 Sr. Anna Lee. Wayne County coach Tim Pyles countered with 5-9 Sr. Ashton Bell, 5-7 Sr. Taylor Bell, 5-10 Sr. Megan Burchett, 5-7 8th Grade Macey Blevins, and 5-8 Jr. Hannah Jackson.
Wayne County raced out to a 20-9 first quarter lead on their way to a 53-35 victory over West Jessamine. Wayne County shot 50% from the field including five of 15 from the three point line. The Lady Cardinals connected on eight of 12 free throws, pulled down 28 rebounds, and scored six points off 13 West Jessamine turnovers. West Jessamine shot 28 % from the field including six of 21 from beyond the arc. They connected on seven of 12 free throws, pulled down 22 rebounds, and scored four points off 13 Wayne County turnovers.
5-9 Sr. Ashton Bell led Wayne County with 10 points, four rebounds, and four steals. 5-7 Sr. Taylor Bell added 10 points and four assists. 5-8 Jr. Hannah Jackson recorded 10 points including two three point baskets, four assists, and three steals. 5-10 Sr. Megan Burchett added nine points and 14 rebounds. 5-7 8th Grade Macey Blevins recorded eight points including two three point baskets.
5-9 So. Faith Osborne led West Jessamine with 12 points and five rebounds. 5-4 Sr. Bethany Hamilton added eight points including two three point baskets. 5-4 Sr. Anna Lee recorded seven points and 5-4 Jr. Rebecca Bullock chipped in with six points.
