Clay County defeated Knox Central by a score of 65-55. Clay County shot 54.4% from the field including 10 of 20 from the three point line. The Lady Tigers connected on five of seven free throws, pulled down 22 rebounds, and committed nine turnovers. Knox Central shot 44.7% from the field including six of 17 from beyond the arc. They connected on seven of 13 free throws, pulled down 19 rebounds, and committed nine turnovers.
5-9 Fr. Kaylee Mathis led Clay County with 28 points including four three point baskets, four rebounds, and four assists. 5-4 8th Grade Taylor Asher added 15 points including three three point baskets and three rebounds. 5-9 So. Summer Parker recorded 13 points, five rebounds, and two blocked shots. 5-6 So. Shelby Phillips chipped in with six points on two three point baskets, four rebounds, three assists, and two blocked shots.
5-6 So. Toni McCombs led Knox Central with 14 points. 5-3 Sr. Sydni Hammontree and 5-6 8th Grade Presley Partin each scored eight points. 6-1 8th Grade Raigan King added seven points and 11 rebounds. 5-6 Sr. Kammy Bargo recorded six points and six rebounds.
