Sacred Heart Academy coach Donna Moir started the following lineup: 5-11 Jr. Grace Berger, 5-7 Jr. Kia Sivils, 5-8 Jr. Natalie Fichter, 5-4 So. Ashlee Harris, and 5-5 Jr. Kiki Samsel. Christian Academy of Louisville coach Perry White countered with 5-10 So. Sarah McDonald, 5-7 Fr. Mia Beam, 5-10 Fr. Shelby Calhoun, 5-6 Sr. Summer Conti, and 5-7 Sr. Emma Wesley.
Sacred Heart Academy led Christian Academy of Louisville 27-25 at halftime and pulled away in the second half for a 67-42 victory. There were five lead changes and three ties in this game. Sacred Heart shot 46.8% from the field including three of 16 from the three point line. The Valkyries connected on six of seven free throws, pulled down 45 rebounds, and scored 20 points off 14 CAL turnovers. CAL shot 27.7% from the field including two of 12 from beyond the arc. The Lady Centurions connected on 14 of 18 free throws, pulled down 25 rebounds, and scored five points off 12 Sacred Heart turnovers.
Grace Berger led Sacred Heart with 15 points and 13 rebounds. Kiki Samsel added 10 points including two three point baskets. Kia Sivils recorded nine points, five rebounds, and three steals. Natalie Fichter chipped in with seven points, five rebounds, and two steals.
Sarah McDonald led CAL with 12 points including seven of seven free throws. Emma Wesley added 11 points and six rebounds. Shelby Calhoun recorded seven points and nine rebounds.
