Eastern Kentucky University coach Chrissy Roberts started the following lineup: 6-1 Sr. Jalen O’Bannon, 5-11 Sr. Shavontae Naylor, 6-3 Jr. Madison Wood, 5-5 Sr. Mariah Massengill, and 5-8 Sr. Alexus Cooper.  Murray State University coach Rob Cross countered with 6-1 Jr. Ke’Shunan James, 5-11 Jr. Bria Bethea, 6-2 Sr. Kyra Gulledge, 5-5 Sr. Daniella Pisano, and 5-8 Sr. LeAsia Wright.

Murray State University defeated Eastern Kentucky University 70-64 in a game that had 11 ties and 13 lead changes.  Murray State University shot a torrid 61.5% from the field including five of 12 from the three point line.  The Racers connected on 15 of 24 free throws, pulled down 36 rebounds, and scored 12 points off 10 Eastern Kentucky University turnovers.  Eastern Kentucky shot 35.3% from the field including five of 14 from beyond the arc.  The Colonels connected on five of 11 free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 15 Murray State University.

Ke’Shunan James led Murray State with 21 points, eight rebounds, and five steals.  LeAsia Wright also scored 21 points including three three point baskets.  Bria Bethea chipped in with 10 points.  6-2 So. Taylor Reese added five points and eight rebounds.

Alexus Cooper led Eastern Kentucky University with 14 points including two three point baskets and four rebounds.  Shavontae Naylor added 13 points, six rebounds, and three assists.  Mariah Massengill recorded 13 points including three three point baskets, four rebounds, and five assists.  Jalen O’Bannon added 12 points and eight rebounds.  5-10 Sr. Zee Willix chipped in with four points, six rebounds, and two assists.
