Scott County coach Billy Hicks started the following lineup: 6-6 So. Michael Moreno, 6-2 Jr. Cooper Robb, 6-4 Sr. Cooper Watts, 6-1 So. Bryce Long, and 6-1 So. Lorenzo Williams. Paul Laurence Dunbar coach Scott Chalk countered with 6-4 Sr. Isaiah Yeast, 6-3 Sr. Javea Richardson, 6-6 Sr. Kaelen Whiteside, 6-1 Jr. Matthew Browne, and 6-3 Sr. Taveion Hollingsworth.
Scott County sent a message to the rest of the 11th region with an 88-58 victory over a good Paul Laurence Dunbar team. Scott County shot 60.3% from the field including eight of 16 from the three point line. The Cardinals connected on 10 of 17 free throws, pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 13 Dunbar turnovers. Dunbar shot 37% from the field including three of 17 from beyond the arc. The Bulldogs connected on 15 of 21 free throws, pulled down 27 rebounds, and scored four points off 13 Scott County turnovers.
Michael Moreno led Scott County with 33 points, 11 rebounds, four assists, and two steals. Cooper Robb led 21 points including two three point baskets, six assists, and three steals. Bryce Long recorded 14 points including three three point baskets, five rebounds, and two steals.
Taveion Hollingsworth led Dunbar with 29 points including 10 of 13 free throws, seven rebounds, four assists, and two steals. 6-2 So. Jared Gadd added eight points and four rebounds.
