Tates Creek coach Jan Perkins started the following lineup: 5-7 So. Idrasha White, 5-3 So. Lauren Baker, 5-8 Fr. Yasmeen Shalash, 5-3 Sr. La’Taya Winn, and 5-3 Sr. Nave Winn. Lexington Christian Academy coach Kent Miller countered with 5-8 Sr. Charis Hill, 5-8 Jr. Payton Rogers, 5-11 8th Grade Emilie Teall, 5-5 So. Bethany Selby, and 5-8 So. Grace Combs.
Tates Creek outscored Lexington Christian Academy 12-6 in the final quarter to earn a 35-32 victory tonight. The score was tied five times and there were eight lead changes in the game. Tates Creek shot 25.5% from the field including six of 21 from the three point line. The Lady Commodores connected on three of 10 free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored 10 points off 13 LCA turnovers. LCA shot 22.9% from the field including one of eight from beyond the arc. The Lady Eagles connected on 37 rebounds, and scored nine points off 10 Tates Creek turnovers.
Nave Winn led Tates Creek with 11 points including three three point baskets, six rebounds, and three steals. Lauren Baker added 10 points and five rebounds. L’Taya Winn chipped in with six points and three rebounds. Yasmeen Shalash recorded five points and nine rebounds.
Bethany Selby led LCA with 20 points including 11 of 16 free throws and four rebounds. Grace Combs added seven points. Payton Rogers recorded four points and 10 rebounds.
