Lafayette coach Allison Denton countered with 5-10 So. Macey Goff, 5-9 So. Lindi DeBilzan, 5-9 Jr. Tekiya Garr-Carter, 5-6 Jr. Terri Abram, and 5-9 Jr. Caroline Bennett.
Lafayette defeated Lexington Catholic by a score of 52-35. Lafayette shot 43.2% from the field including four of 11 from the three point line. The Lady Generals connected on 10 of 21 free throws, pulled down 24 rebounds, and scored 24 points off 23 Lexington Catholic turnovers. Lexington Catholic shot 40.7% from the field including six of 13 from beyond the arc. The Lady Knights connected on seven of 13 free throws, pulled down 25 rebounds, and scored eight points off nine Lafayette turnovers.
Tekiya Garr-Carter led Lafayette with 19 points, four rebounds, and three steals. Caroline Bennett added 18 points including four three point baskets, four rebounds, and four steals. Macey Goff recorded seven points and seven rebounds.
Maylo Given led Lexington Catholic with 16 points including two three point baskets and nine rebounds. Jay Ballard added 11 points including three three point baskets.
