Jacksonville State University coach Ray Harper started the following lineup:  6-8 Fr. Jacara Cross, 6-4 Sr. Erik Durham, 7-0 Jr. Norbertas Giga, 6-2 Sr. Greg Tucker, and 6-2 Jr. Malcolm Drumwright.  Eastern Kentucky University coach Dan McHale countered with 6-7 Jr. Zach Charles, 6-2 Sr. Isaac McGlone, 6-9 So. Nick Mayo, 5-11 Fr. Asante Gist, and 6-0 Jr. Dillon Avare.

Eastern Kentucky rallied from a 11 point deficit in the second half to defeat Jacksonville State by a score of 68-65.  The score was tied nine times and there were six lead changes in the game.  Eastern Kentucky shot 47.7% from the field including six of 16 from the three point line.  The Colonels connected on 20 of 27 free throws, pulled down 26 rebounds, and scored 18 points off 13 Jacksonville State turnovers.  Jacksonville State shot 35.9% from the field including six of 22 from beyond the arc.  They connected on 13 of 17 free throws, pulled down 42 rebounds, and scored 13 points off nine Eastern Kentucky turnovers.

Nick Mayo led Eastern Kentucky University with 22 points, nine rebounds, two blocked shots, and three steals.  Asante Gist added 16 points and six assists.  Isaac McGlone recorded 13 points including three three point baskets.  Zach Charles pulled down six rebounds and blocked five shots.

Greg Tucker led Jacksonville State University with 24 points, 13 rebounds, four assists, and three steals.  6-7 So. Christian Cunningham added 14 points and eight rebounds.  Erik Durham chipped in with seven points and six rebounds.  Norbertas Giga recorded five points, 13 rebounds, four assists, and three steals.
