11th Region Tournament

Woodford County coach Jay Lucas started the following lineup: 5-6 Fr. Kasey Abel, 5-7 Fr. Abby Moffett, 5-11 Fr. Delaney Enlow, 5-4 Jr. Peyton Rose, and 5-7 Fr. Abbie Hudson.  Lafayette coach Allison Denton countered with 5-9 So. Lindi DeBilzan, 5-8 Jr. Tekiya Garr-Carter, 5-11 Sr. Kiara Pankins, 5-6 Jr. Terri Abram, and 5-9 Jr. Caroline Bennett.

 

Lafayette raced out to a 22-7 first quarter lead but Woodford County battled back to make a game of it but Lafayette won by a score of 61-54.  Lafayette shot 35.7% from the field including five of eight from the three point line.  The Lady Generals connected on 16 of 26 free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored 20 points off 21 Woodford County turnovers.  Woodford County shot 30.8% from the field including seven of 19 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Yellow Jackets connected on seven of 12 free throws, pulled down 41 rebounds, and scored three points off seven Lafayette turnovers.

 

Lindi DeBilzan led Lafayette with 14 points including two three point baskets, four rebounds, and three steals.  Caroline Bennett added 13 points including three three point baskets, seven rebounds, and four assists.  Tekiya Garr-Carter recorded 11 points and seven steals.  5-11 So. Macey Goff chipped in with 10 points including eight of 12 free throws and seven rebounds.  Kiara Pankins added nine points, six rebounds, two blocked shots, and two steals.

 

Abby Moffett led Woodford County with 14 points including four three point baskets.  Delaney Enlow added 13 points, 17 rebounds, and eight blocked shots.  Peyton Rose recorded 10 points including two three point baskets, five assists, and three steals.  Kasey Abel recorded eight points and nine rebounds.
