Sacred Heart Academy coach Donna Moir started the following lineup: 5-11 Jr. Grace Berger, 5-7 Jr. Kia Sivils, 6-0 Fr. Kristen Clemons, 5-5 So. Ashlee Harris, and 5-6 Jr. Kiki Samsel. DuPont Manual coach Jeff Sparks countered with 5-11 Jr. Aniah Griffin, 5-10 Sr. Tonysha Curry, 5-11 Fr. Nila Blackford, 5-2 Jr. Tyonne Howard, and 5-5 Jr. Jaela Johnson.
Sacred Heart Academy raced out to a 26-14 first quarter lead on their way to a 59-52 victory over DuPont Manual. Sacred Heart Academy shot 39% from the field including seven of 15 from the three point line. The Valkyries connected on 20 of 23 free throws, pulled down 28 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 12 Manual turnovers. Manual shot 46.3% from the field including five of 15 from beyond the arc. The Lady Crimsons connected on nine of 11 free throws, pulled down 22 rebounds, and scored four points off 12 Sacred Heart turnovers.
Kiki Samsel led Sacred Heart with 16 points including three three point baskets. Grace Berger added 11 points, nine rebounds, and two steals. Kristen Clemons recorded 11 points and three rebounds. Ashlee Harris also scored 11 points and three rebounds.
Jaela Johnson led Manual with 20 points including three three point baskets. Nila Blackford added 12 points, seven rebounds, and four blocked shots. Tonysha Curry chipped in with eight points. Aniah Griffin recorded six points and five rebounds.
